A nice guy?
The New York times is on Mike's trail. Is he really just a nice guy?
Frankly, he is a nice guy, but, that's not the characteristic that I care most about though. I care mostly that he is authentic. He isn't just on the stump looking for votes. He is out in the public bringing up different ideas. Talking about the issues that really matter.
He isn't calculating his positions to match popular opinions within the Republicans or within the public as a whole. Instead he is a man of principles. When he is speaking I see a man that says what he means and means what he says.
Can I say the same thing for Romney or Guiliani? I don't think so. I've seen Guiliani bend and twist to pick up conservatives and Romney is a flip flop king.
